Adobe to Open Source Flex!
It must have been my influence - having just started out using Flex my subconscious mind invaded the psyche's of the powers that be over in Adobe and they said to one another (with pinpoint like pupils and a bit of drool on their mesmerized lips) "lets open source flex..."

Funny you should mention that, Andrew. This all started because you appeared to me as a ghost in a dream the other night, chanting, "open sooooouuuuurrrrccceeee..... open souoooooouuuuurrrceeee..." :-)
LOL! Lemme try something else now :)
Free version of Flexxxx Builllderrrrrr.
Ah well. Doesn't hurt to ask :)
Andrew,
Help me understand the impact of Flex becoming open source.
What do you think the effect will be on OpenLaszlo, your previous love?

I believe it means choice. If you are developing on a platform, you want to have some choice as to how it works. If the sourcecode is available that means you are able to make changes or fixes without having to go through Adobe to do them. Also it means that the community at large will be contributing features and fixes. Lastly, it means that 3rd party tools will be able to be built on this code since the workings of it will be known.
