Wow! I was an avid user/creator of konfabulator widgets since Konfabulator first started out. It's great to see that they are moving into a newer bigger phase. Congrats Arlo and team!

JSON - the data interchange format for AJAX

XML rocks, there's no doubt about it, but for some reason I'm looking at JSON and thinking "this is the data interchange format I want to use". AJAX is all about async transfer of data -- not necessarily tied forever to xmlhttprequest. JSON could be another way to do data transfer that is very fast and convenient. Check it out.

In other words, running a Greasemonkey script on a site can expose the contents of every file on your local hard drive to that site. Running a Greasemonkey script with "@include *" (which, BTW, is the default if no parameter is specified) can expose the contents of every file on your local hard drive to every site you visit. And, because GM_xmlhttpRequest can use POST as well as GET, an attacker can quietly send this information anywhere in the world.
