This is a nifty piece of redirection via javascript that uses ajax to obscure some loaded javascript library. Handy technique.
This is an interesting site that takes a blogging engine and turns it into an RPG. Very snazzy!
Kinda an interesting site where you can create your own icons and share them with others.
As the link above will show you - go get the latest Opera browser, then download that widget to see the future of widget development. Not only do the widgets us the same rendering engine as the Opera browser, you also get the same CANVAS engine as well - meaning you can do anything in a widget that you can do with canvas - including drawing simple 3d elements, charts, graphs, etc. etc. And I hear that these widgets work in the mobile browser as well (correct me if I'm wrong?) If so that means there's a whole new way to create apps and games for mobile devices - just using html/js/css/canvas !
Curse you Jay at jayisgames.com :) - you got me hopelessly addicted to this silly web game called Zwok. Its like "worms" in that you shoot little snowballs at your enemies and hope you get the trajectory right. It's quick fun that keeps you wanting to play just one more game.
I've been looking for a good php tutorial site, and this one gives you much more. Give it a try.
This is one of the coolest things I've seen in a long time. Imagine creating web based games, visualizations, and more with a 3d canvas built into the browser. Awesome!
Shillmania has a great article about making animation in javascript faster. The basic idea is that it's faster to change properties on a node directly than doing it indirectly via classname changes, etc.
Gee, I just read about tagworld and now netvibes is doing a similar thing as well. Listen folks - its true -- sites like MySpace are the OS and Widgets (flash/dhtml) are the new Apps...
I have been a long believer in an idea called "socially constructed interfaces" and it looks like others are getting the idea as well. This is a widget framework which allows you to create flash widgets and embed them on any site. Very smart!
